• MACON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS: meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Board Room, Courthouse, third floor.
  
  
• AIRPORT AUTHORITY: Last Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at the Airport.
  
  
• BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS: Meets only when necessary.
  
  
• CHILD FATALITY PREVENTION TEAM: Quarterly as noticed.
  
  
• COMMUNITY FUNDING POOL: Meets November - May as necessary.
  
  
• ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION: 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Groves Building on Siler Road.
  
  
• FARMLAND PRESERVATION: Meets only when necessary.
  
  
• FRANKLIN/NANTAHALA TOURISM DEVELOPMENT: Meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 12:15 at the Franklin Chamber of Commerce.
  
  
• HEALTH BOARD: meets 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. at the Human Services Building meeting rooms A & B.
  
  
• HIGHLANDS TOURISM DEVELOPMENT: 8:30 a.m. at the Highlands Chamber of Commerce conference room on January 17th, April 17th, July 17th and October 16th, 2012.
  
  
• HOME COMMUNITY CARE BLOCK GRANT & DEPARTMENT ON AGING ADVISORY COUNCIL: Quarterly at the Senior Services Building.
  
  
• HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION: Meets only when necessary.
  
  
• INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES & POLLUTION CONTROL FINANCE AUTHORITY: Meets only when necessary.
  
  
• JUVENILE CRIME PREVENTION COUNCIL: 2nd Wednesday of each month at noon at the Human Services Building. (No meetings in July and August)
  
  
• LIBRARY BOARD: Meets Bi-monthly the 1st Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. at the Library. (February, April, June, August, October, December)
  
  
• MACON COUNTY RECREATION COMMISSION:Meets quarterly on the 1st Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Macon County Community Facilities Building.
  
  
• PLANNING BOARD: 3RD Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at Human Services Building meeting rooms A & B.
  
  
• REST/NURSING HOME ADVISORY COMMITTEE:Meets quarterly.
  
  
• SOCIAL SERVICES BOARD:3RD Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the Human Services Building.
  
  
• TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE:Meets quarterly March, June, September, and December on the 1st Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Transit Office, 36 Pannell Lane.
  
  
• WATERSHED COUNCIL:Meets 2nd Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the Agriculture Services Center.
  
  
• WATERSHED REVIEW BOARD:Meets only when necessary.
