| WHAT IS SENIOR GAMES?
A PROGRAM FOR ADULTS 55 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER TO PROMOTE YEAR ROUND HEALTH AND TO KEEP THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT FIT WHILE ENJOYING THE COMPANY OF FRIENDS, FAMILY, SPECTATORS AND VOLUNTEERS.
WE ARE PART OF THE NORTH CAROLINA SENIOR GAMES WHICH STARTED IN 1983. THERE ARE OVER 60,000 PARTICIPANTS STATEWIDE IN LOCAL GAMES THAT SERVE ALL 100 COUNTIES ACROSS THE STATE.

| 2009 Changes |
| Starting in 2009 the following new policies will be enforced at our local games.
1. All Events/Activities/Venue will be non-smoking (just like the state games) for all Senior Games Participants
2. Those participants going to the State Games that wish to have their lodging paid, the following things are required:
a. Be enrolled in the Macon County Senior Games
b. Qualify in your activities for the State Games
