FEES

Proper disposal practices begin with you and are required by Macon County. Disposal Requirements are based on operation considerations and State and Federal Regulations. Fees are listed below.

CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION	$66.00 PER TON Highlands $74.75 PER TON
STUMPS	$30.00 PER TON
YARD WASTE/BRUSH	$30.00 PER TON
MATERIALS USEFUL TO LANDFILL These must be prior approved by the Director of the Landfill	$10.00 PER TON
WHITE GOODS/APPLIANCES (Includes other metals)	NO FEE
RECYCLABLES	NO FEE
ALL OTHER WASTE (We do not charge for bagged household waste)	$66.00 PER TON Highlands $74.75 PER TON
You must cross the scales coming into the landfill and declare your load. If it is a chargeable load, we weigh your vehicle in, after dumping the waste, cross back over the scales to weigh out. This gives an exact weight of your load. We have the authority to check your load on your vehicle.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Failure to comply with Landfill Disposal Rules may be a violation of State Statute and/or County Ordinance and may be PUNISHABLE BY FINE.

All Vehicles must cross scales upon entering Landfill
All loads arriving at the Landfill must be properly covered or tarped to prevent spillage
No Scavenging is permitted at the Landfill
For Safety: Keep all children and pets in vehicle at all times
Sort waste types as you load for easier off-loading at the landfill

- Burning or smoldering wastes
- Hazardous Wastes
- Cardboard
- Used Motor Oil
- Lead-Acid batteries
- Liquid Wastes
- WHite goods
- Tires
- Radioactive Wastes
- Wet Sludges
- Aluminum cans (bulk)
- Metal Drums - unless empty and perforated
- Yard Wastes
- Automobiles
- Ash (unless approved)
- Regulated Medical Wastes
- Friable Asbestos
